SIT notice to Santosh Kumar is political vendetta, says Sravan Dasoju

Hyderabad: BRS MLC Dr. Sravan Dasoju on Monday accused the Congress-led Telangana government of resorting to political vendetta by targeting former MP Joginipally Santosh Kumar in a phone-tapping case. He described the SIT notice issued to Santosh Kumar as a desperate act. According to him, it is meant to deflect attention from governance failures.

In a sharp statement, Sravan alleged that the Revanth Reddy government is using investigative agencies to settle political scores and suppress the BRS leadership.

“Sham investigation, fear tactics,” says Sravan

Calling the investigation a “malicious witch hunt,” Sravan said the Congress regime was weaponising the state machinery to manufacture fear and create distractions. Additionally, he accused the government of launching “predictive politics.” He said the case lacked genuine intent to deliver justice.

Attack aimed at diverting from failed guarantees

Sravan claimed the Congress failed to fulfil its “Six Guarantees.” He also stated it is now trying to divert public attention by staging “investigative dramas.” Furthermore, he alleged that the administration has betrayed all sections of society and is hiding its failures behind politically motivated headlines.

“BRS forged in struggle, unshaken by threats”

Rejecting the SIT probe as baseless, Sravan asserted that BRS leaders including K.T. Rama Rao, Harish Rao and Santosh Kumar have been unfairly targeted. He said the party was born out of a hard-fought movement. According to him, it would not be shaken by notices, interrogations or fabricated charges.

The MLC accused Chief Minister Revanth Reddy of reducing law enforcement to a personal tool, calling it a violation of constitutional values. He said using the police for political vendetta was the hallmark of a weakening regime.

“We will fight this legally and politically”

Sravan concluded by saying that BRS will challenge this alleged “revenge politics” both in court and among the public. He warned the Chief Minister to focus on governance or face rejection from the people of Telangana.
