Hyderabad: Telangana Social Welfare Residential Educational Institutions Society (TGSWREIS) students delivered an impressive performance in the JEE Advanced results, with 163 students qualifying for admissions to the Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs).
The achievement came from students studying in the society’s Centres of Excellence (COEs), which provide specialised coaching for national-level competitive examinations.
According to TGSWREIS, 61 students secured direct IIT seats. Additionally, 102 students obtained preparatory ranks. As a result, a total of 163 students became eligible for IIT admissions.
Students from the society’s 37 Centres of Excellence performed strongly in both JEE Main and JEE Advanced examinations.
Furthermore, students secured notable community ranks across various categories. One student ranked within the top 500 community ranks, while three others secured ranks within 1,000.
Another 14 students achieved ranks within 2,000. Additionally, 25 students ranked within 3,000 and 39 students secured ranks within 5,000.
JEE Advanced results highlight gurukul excellence
P. Hemanth of Chilkur Boys Centre of Excellence emerged as one of the top performers. He secured All India Community Rank 200 in the ST category.
Several students from Gowlidoddi Boys Centre of Excellence also secured notable community ranks in the SC, ST and EWS categories.
TGSWREIS secretary Vijayaendra Boyi said the results reflected the confidence parents had placed in gurukul institutions.
According to her, structured coaching, continuous assessments, academic mentoring and experienced faculty played a key role in the achievement.
Meanwhile, Welfare Minister Adluri Laxman Kumar congratulated the students, teachers and parents for the accomplishment.
He said the results showed that poverty was not a barrier to talent and academic success.
Furthermore, the minister said students from rural, Dalit, tribal and backward communities were gaining admission to some of the country’s premier institutions.
He added that the state government was extending support to help gurukul students secure seats in IITs, NITs, IIITs and AIIMS.
The minister said recent investments in academic standards, digital learning and competitive examination coaching were producing encouraging results.
He expressed confidence that Telangana’s gurukul education system would continue to register more national-level successes in the coming years.
