Hyderabad: State IT and Industries Minister Duddilla Sridhar Babu invited devotees from across the country to attend the Saraswati Antya Pushkaralu at Kaleshwaram in Bhupalpally district.
The minister said the Pushkaralu hold special significance. Devotees from several states are expected to attend the event.
He urged pilgrims to participate in large numbers. The minister also appealed to devotees to take a holy dip in the Saraswati river at Kaleshwaram.
According to Sridhar Babu, the Saraswati river flows as an underground stream into the Godavari river at Kaleshwaram.
He further asked devotees to visit Sri Kaleshwara Mukteswara Swamy temple and seek blessings during the Pushkaralu celebrations.
Saraswati Antya Pushkaralu arrangements underway at Kaleshwaram
Sridhar Babu said the Saraswati Antya Pushkaralu will take place from May 21 to June 1 in Mahadevpur mandal.
He said the government was making elaborate arrangements for the event. Meanwhile, he instructed officials to complete all preparations at least 10 days before the festival begins.
The minister also said authorities were taking steps to provide all necessary facilities for devotees visiting Kaleshwaram during the Pushkaralu period.
