Hyderabad: The Saraswati Anthya Pushkaralu will take place at Kaleshwaram from May 21 to June 1, with the state planning extensive arrangements for devotees.
Endowments, Forest and Environment Minister Konda Surekha announced the schedule. She also unveiled the official poster and teaser at the Secretariat with IT and Industries Minister Duddilla Sridhar Babu.
The 12-day Saraswati Anthya Pushkaralu will draw around 30 lakh devotees. Officials undertook 162 development works worth ₹30.63 crore. These works aim to improve access and facilities at the venue.
The minister said authorities are making arrangements for smooth darshan and holy dip. Moreover, she said teams are working to provide a peaceful environment with all amenities.
Saraswati Anthya Pushkaralu arrangements planned for 30 lakh devotees
She noted that the government conducted Saraswati Aadi Pushkaralu and Sammakka Saralamma Jatara successfully. Meanwhile, she said officials have started preparations for the Godavari Pushkaralu next year.
Duddilla Sridhar Babu directed officials to complete all works at least 10 days in advance. Further, he asked departments to coordinate closely to avoid traffic congestion. He also thanked Chief Minister Revanth Reddy for allocating ₹198 crore to redevelop the Kaleshwaram temple.
Endowments Department Principal Secretary Shailaja Ramaiyer said the inaugural holy dip will take place at 5:43 am on the first day. She said Shankara Vijayendra Saraswati will perform the ritual.
She added that officials have invited the Governor for the event. In addition, one seer will perform the holy dip each day. Daily evening aarti will take place at the Triveni Sangam at 6:30 pm. Priests from Kashi will conduct the rituals.
Jayashankar Bhupalpally Collector Rahul Sharma and Kaleshwaram Temple Trust Chairman Mohan Sharma attended the programme. Officials from the Endowments Department also took part.
