Hyderabad: Telangana Chief Secretary Sanjay Jaju urged students of Telangana Model School, Maheshwaram, to work towards securing IIT and NEET ranks and make full use of the learning resources provided by the State Government.
Sanjay Jaju paid a surprise visit to the school on Monday and interacted with students, teachers and school authorities. He reviewed classroom teaching, academic standards and the overall learning environment. Meanwhile, students and staff welcomed him and later received bouquets and a sapling from the Chief Secretary.
During the interaction, he asked students about their studies, career goals and classroom experience. He also enquired whether classes were being conducted regularly and whether teachers were providing effective guidance.
The Chief Secretary encouraged students to dream big. Accordingly, he said the Chief Minister of Telangana had studied in a government school before becoming the Chief Minister, demonstrating that dedication and hard work can help students achieve the highest positions.
IIT and NEET ranks should be students’ goal
Sanjay Jaju shared his own journey with the students. He recalled that an IAS officer’s visit to his school nearly four decades ago inspired him to join the Civil Services. He said that inspiration eventually led him to become an IAS officer.
Furthermore, he advised students to use the Physics Wallah and Khan Academy learning resources provided by the government. He urged them to work hard and strive to secure IIT and NEET ranks during the current academic year. He also asked teachers to continue motivating and mentoring students to achieve academic excellence.
Later, the Chief Secretary met Principal E. Gopi and reviewed the school’s infrastructure, requirements and challenges. Thereafter, he directed officials to resolve pending issues promptly. He also assured the Principal that the school could seek support from the concerned departments or the Chief Secretary’s Office whenever required.
The Chief Secretary planted a sapling on the campus and appreciated the Principal and staff for maintaining a clean, disciplined and academically vibrant institution. During the visit, Industries and Commerce Secretary Krishna Aditya, IAS, Shashank, IAS, and other officials accompanied him.
