Hyderabad: Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy inspected the ongoing Telangana Assembly renovation works at the historic Legislative Assembly complex on Thursday. He reviewed the progress of repair and restoration activities. The Chief Minister directed officials to preserve the heritage character of the building while upgrading its operational facilities.
Accompanied by senior legislators and officials, Revanth Reddy toured different sections of the Assembly complex. Department engineers briefed him on the progress of the ongoing works.
Telangana Assembly renovation to preserve heritage
The Chief Minister instructed officials to retain the historic identity of the Assembly building during the restoration works. He also directed them to improve infrastructure for the smooth functioning of the legislature.
Speaker Gaddam Prasad Kumar, Minister Adluri Laxman, Government Whips Aadi Srinivas, Addanki Dayakar and Balmuri Venkat joined the inspection. MLAs Kavvampalli Satyanarayana and Jaiveer Reddy were also present.
The State government is carrying out the renovation project to restore the historic legislature complex. The works also aim to upgrade infrastructure ahead of future legislative sessions.
