Revanth Reddy to launch Van Mahotsav 2026 at Gurramguda Eco Park

Hyderabad: Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy will launch Van Mahotsav 2026 by planting a Nagalingam sapling at Gurramguda Eco Park in Rangareddy district as part of Telangana’s efforts to expand green cover and strengthen environmental conservation.

The state government is organising this year’s plantation drive with the theme “Vrukshalu – Jeevanadharam” (Trees are Life Support).

Alongside the launch programme, the Chief Minister will lay foundation stones for various development works worth Rs 35.50 crore in and around Gurramguda.

The government aims to combine environmental protection with sustainable development through the initiative.

Van Mahotsav 2026 targets 16.06 crore saplings across Telangana

The Telangana government has set a target of planting 16.06 crore saplings across the state during this year’s campaign.

Authorities have already prepared saplings of various species in 13,242 government nurseries to support the massive plantation drive.

The government plans to involve schools, colleges, voluntary organisations and local communities in the programme.

Chief Minister Revanth Reddy has called upon citizens to actively participate in the plantation drive and contribute to environmental protection.

Officials said public participation would play a crucial role in achieving the plantation target and increasing green cover across Telangana.
