Hyderabad: Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy on Monday inaugurated Apollo Hospital of Gratitude at the Financial District, marking a major addition to the city’s healthcare infrastructure.
Minister Damodar Rajanarasimha and senior representatives of Apollo Hospitals attended the event.
Apollo Hospital of Gratitude reflects healthcare leadership
Addressing the gathering, Revanth Reddy said Apollo Hospitals began its journey 46 years ago with its first facility in Chennai. Since then, he said, it has set benchmarks in the healthcare sector.
He said Dr. Prathap C. Reddy played a pioneering role in shaping modern healthcare in India. As a result, the Apollo brand earned trust and confidence from millions.
The Chief Minister appreciated the management for its contribution to society. He added that the group maintained high standards in healthcare delivery.
Apollo Hospital of Gratitude boosts medical tourism plans
Revanth Reddy said the government aimed to develop Hyderabad into a global hub for medical tourism. Therefore, it requested the Centre to enable direct flights from Middle Eastern countries for patients.
He said the state also planned to establish an international Health City in the Fourth City. In addition, officials discussed a green channel system with airport authorities.
This system would ensure faster transport of patients from the airport to hospitals. He said such measures would strengthen healthcare access.
The Chief Minister highlighted Hyderabad’s strength in pharmaceuticals and healthcare. He said the city produced COVID-19 vaccines and manufactured nearly 40 percent of bulk drugs.

Revanth Reddy described Minister Damodar Rajanarasimha as a “social doctor” committed to public welfare. He said such leadership supported inclusive healthcare growth.
He assured full government support to the healthcare sector. Moreover, he said Telangana would provide a secure environment for investments.
He urged investors to explore opportunities in the state. He said Telangana had emerged as a preferred destination for business and healthcare investments.
