CM Revanth Reddy reviews Assembly development works

Hyderabad: Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy reviewed Assembly development works and directed officials to upgrade facilities at the Legislative Assembly premises.

He held a review meeting with Legislative Council Chairman Gutha Sukender Reddy and Assembly Speaker G. Prasad Kumar at the Assembly.

Assembly development works to match Parliament standards

During the meeting, Revanth Reddy instructed officials to develop the premises on the lines of Parliament. He said the changes should enhance the dignity of members.

He stressed the need to ensure privacy for members during Assembly sessions. Therefore, he directed officials to make a Central Hall ready before the next session.

He said the hall should be developed in line with earlier decisions. The proposed Central Hall would function similar to the one in Parliament.

The Chief Minister also suggested setting up a dedicated Members’ Club within the premises. He directed officials to take necessary steps for its establishment.

Assembly development works include heritage protection

Revanth Reddy asked officials to preserve the heritage value of the existing Assembly and old Council buildings. He said no damage should occur during the development process.

He also instructed authorities to create additional facilities for members. These include a walking track and sports arrangements within the premises.

Further, he called for strengthening security measures across the Assembly complex. He said improved security was essential for smooth functioning.

The review focused on ensuring that Assembly development works balanced modern facilities with heritage conservation.
