Gutha orders central hall construction at Telangana Assembly

Hyderabad: Telangana Legislative Council Chairman Gutha Sukhender Reddy on Thursday directed officials to begin central hall construction immediately at the State Assembly complex, while also asking them to expedite pending works within the Council premises.

He issued the instructions during a review meeting held at his chamber with officials from the Roads and Buildings (R&B) department, the Aga Khan Trust and the Telangana Legislature.

Acting on the directions of Chief Minister Revanth Reddy, Sukhender Reddy said the hall construction, located between the Legislative Council and the Legislative Assembly, should commence without delay.

Central hall construction at Assembly complex

Sukhender Reddy instructed officials to design the central hall construction in a manner that ensured comfort and convenience for both Legislative Council and Assembly members. He also emphasised that the construction process should begin immediately.

Further, he directed authorities to speed up the completion of ongoing and pending works within the Legislative Council premises. According to officials, the meeting focused on improving infrastructure and ensuring timely execution of projects.

Council Secretary Dr. Narasimhacharyulu attended the meeting along with Chairman’s OSDs Goverdhan Reddy and Mohan Reddy. Officials from the R&B department, the Aga Khan Trust and the Legislature also participated in the discussions.

The Chairman reiterated that central hall construction should proceed in line with the Chief Minister’s instructions. He added that all departments must coordinate to avoid delays and ensure smooth execution of the project.
