CM Revanth Reddy honours TG-20 champions with cash rewards

Hyderabad: Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy on Friday honoured the TG-20 champions, Hyderabad E-Champions, and presented cash reward cheques to the players after their victory in the inaugural TG-20 Cricket League.

The team met the Chief Minister at the MCR HRD Bodhi Pavilion. During the meeting, he congratulated the players on winning the first season of the league.

Revanth Reddy said the Telangana government was giving special priority to sports development. Further, he said outstanding athletes were receiving cash rewards and government jobs as an incentive.

Additionally, the Chief Minister said the government had introduced a dedicated sports policy for Telangana. He added that it had also established a Sports University.

TG-20 champions receive Chief Minister’s recognition

Meanwhile, Revanth Reddy said the government was upgrading the Gachibowli Stadium to international standards. He also recalled that Hyderabad had previously hosted several national-level sporting events.

According to him, the TG-20 League was providing talented players from rural areas with an opportunity to showcase their skills. Moreover, he congratulated the TG-20 champions and expressed hope that they would go on to enhance India’s sporting reputation.

Finally, the Chief Minister advised players to remain focused on their chosen field. He said success required discipline, respect and sustained interest in the sport.
