Revanth Reddy to release final Rythu Bharosa instalment on Friday

Hyderabad: Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy will release the final Rythu Bharosa instalment of ₹1,009 crore on Friday, Deputy Chief Minister Bhatti Vikramarka announced. The amount will be credited directly to farmers’ bank accounts, taking the total seasonal disbursal under the scheme to ₹9,000 crore.

Bhatti Vikramarka made the announcement after inspecting preparations for the Rythu Ashirvada Sabha at Jagannadhapuram–Mathkepalli Cross Road in Chinthakani mandal. Later, he addressed a media conference at the Lachagudem Rythu Vedika.

He said the government released a record ₹8,759 crore under the scheme within nine days. Moreover, Friday’s transfer will complete the seasonal assistance through direct benefit transfers.

The Deputy Chief Minister said the programme would take place in the presence of the Chief Minister and Cabinet colleagues. He added that the government’s priority was to strengthen agriculture by extending timely investment support to farmers across Telangana.

Rythu Bharosa instalment completes ₹9,000 crore seasonal support

Bhatti Vikramarka said the previous BRS government spent ₹72,000 crore under the scheme over 10 years. In contrast, he said the Congress government released ₹35,839 crore under Rythu Bharosa during its first two-and-a-half years in office.

He also said the government spent ₹1,67,877 crore on farmer welfare during the same period. According to him, the expenditure covered Rythu Bharosa, farm loan waiver, crop bonus, crop insurance, crop loss compensation, agricultural power subsidy, farm mechanisation, Atmiya Bharosa, Indiramma schemes, irrigation projects and other welfare initiatives.
