Revanth Reddy invites Bharti Enterprises to expand investments in Telangana

Hyderabad: Bharti Enterprises Chairman Sunil Bharti Mittal met Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy on Tuesday and discussed investment opportunities in Telangana, with a focus on digital infrastructure, data centres and skill development.

During the meeting at Bodhi Pavilion, MCR HRD Institute, the Chief Minister highlighted Telangana’s investor-friendly policies, governance reforms and business ecosystem. He said these initiatives had positioned the State among India’s preferred investment destinations.

Revanth Reddy also outlined the government’s reforms in the education sector. These include the revamp of government schools, the establishment of the Young India Skills University, the upgradation of Industrial Training Institutes into Advanced Technology Centres and the modernisation of polytechnic colleges.

The Chief Minister urged the company to expedite the Chandanvelly Data Centre Project. He also invited it to establish a large integrated data centre and artificial intelligence infrastructure campus in Telangana.

Further, Revanth Reddy encouraged Airtel to expand its digital, cloud, cybersecurity and artificial intelligence operations in Hyderabad. He also suggested that the company nominate a senior executive to coordinate with the Telangana government to facilitate future investments and ensure timely resolution of operational issues.

Sunil Bharti Mittal appreciated the Telangana government’s forward-looking initiatives. He announced that the Bharti Airtel Foundation would provide scholarships to students studying in government schools and Advanced Technology Centres. He also informed the Chief Minister that Hyderabad is under consideration as Airtel’s second headquarters.

Mittal further said Bharti Enterprises plans to expand its data centre capacity in Telangana. He also expressed the company’s interest in strengthening fibre connectivity across the State.
