Governor Shiv Pratap Shukla suggested that drug control awareness should begin at the institutional level. He proposed organising programmes where students take a formal pledge to stay away from drugs.

He also recommended that schools and colleges obtain written undertakings from students during the admission process. These undertakings would affirm their commitment to avoid drug use.

The Chief Minister responded that the government would take necessary steps after considering the Governor’s suggestions. He indicated that the proposals would be examined for implementation within the education system.

Minister for IT and Industries Duddilla Sridhar Babu and Rajya Sabha member Vem Narender Reddy accompanied the Chief Minister during the Revanth Governor meeting.
