PPA team inspects Polavaram project works

Hyderabad: A team from the Polavaram Project Authority carried out an inspection of ongoing construction works at the Polavaram project site, focusing on key structural components and progress on the ground. The purpose of this inspection was also to assess how the project is advancing in crucial areas. One of the primary reasons for this Polavaram project inspection was ensuring quality in development.

The team was led by Polavaram Project Authority Chief Executive Officer Yogesh Patankar. During the visit, officials examined works at the diaphragm wall and the Gap-1 and Gap-2 areas, where major construction activity is underway, as part of their project inspection duties. This inspection is a critical part of maintaining standards at the Polavaram project.

Officials from the state Water Resources Department and representatives of the construction agency received the PPA team at the site. Chief Engineer K. Narasimhamurthy and MEIL Chief Operating Officer Satish Babu welcomed the delegation during the inspection of the project. Such inspections ensure smooth progress at the Polavaram site.

The PPA team held discussions with departmental officials and construction agency representatives to review progress and address technical aspects, all part of their comprehensive project inspection. After the meeting, the members carried out a detailed field inspection of the ongoing works around key components designated for Polavaram project inspection.

The visiting delegation included PPA Member Secretary M. Raghuram, Chief Engineers C. V. Subbaiah (Power) and M. Ramesh Kumar (Planning and Design), and Director K. Shankar. Officials said the inspection aimed to assess construction quality and monitor timelines at critical sections of the project.
