Hyderabad: Senior BRS leader and MLA Gangula Kamalakar said the Bharat Rashtra Samithi would stand firmly with the minor victim in the POCSO case involving Sai Bageerath, son of Union Minister of State for Home Affairs Bandi Sanjay Kumar.
Addressing a meeting at Telangana Bhavan on Wednesday, Gangula Kamalakar alleged that BRS leaders forced police to register the case against Sai Bageerath after sustained pressure.
He criticised attempts to link the issue to caste and said authorities must treat the matter strictly as a law-and-order issue.
Gangula Kamalakar accused Bandi Sanjay Kumar of using a threatening tone during recent remarks in Karimnagar. He questioned whom the Union Minister intended to target through such statements.
“This is not a caste issue. It is a law-and-order issue,” Gangula Kamalakar said while addressing party workers and leaders.
