Hyderabad: AIMIM president and Hyderabad MP Asaduddin Owaisi urged the Telangana government to postpone Osmania University exams scheduled on May 28 because the date coincides with Bakrid celebrations.
Owaisi appealed to Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy and the state Chief Secretary to shift the examinations to another date. He said conducting exams on Eid al-Adha would place students at a disadvantage.
According to Owaisi, Osmania University scheduled several BA, BCom and BSc examinations on the festival day. These include BCom fourth semester Business Statistics and BCom sixth semester Accounting Standards and Corporate Governance papers.
