Hyderabad: Mirchowk Police robbery investigators arrested four accused in connection with a robbery case and recovered ₹48,800, including cash and money transferred through a digital payment application.
Acting on credible information, Mirchowk Detective Inspector Saidiah, Detective Sub-Inspector Md. Mujtaba Ali and the Crime Team conducted the operation and apprehended the four accused.
The arrested persons were identified as Ismail Shareef alias Shot of Shalibanda, Mir Mohammed Ali Jawwad alias Jado of Hussaini Alam, Mohammad Akbar of Bihar and Md. Ayub of Bihar. During the operation, police recovered ₹25,000 in cash. They also secured the transfer of ₹23,800 through the PhonePe application, taking the total recovery to ₹48,800.
Mirchowk Police robbery investigation leads to arrests
According to police, the robbery occurred at around 6 pm on July 25, 2026, near Hanuman Temple in Osmanpura, Mirchowk, Hyderabad. Following the incident, investigators gathered information and launched a search operation. Their efforts led to the arrest of the four suspects and the recovery of the robbed amount.
Police registered a case at Mirchowk Police Station as Crime No. 191/2026. The case was booked under Sections 309(6) and 140(2) read with Section 3(5) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS). The Mirchowk Police robbery investigation is continuing to establish whether the accused were involved in any other criminal offences.
