Hyderabad: BRS working president K.T. Rama Rao pitched Telangana tech destination strengths to a South Korean team on Thursday. He said the state had skilled workers, strong industry links and room for Korean firms to grow.
Rama Rao met Prof. Youngtae Cho, Advisor to the President of South Korea. A team from Seoul National University also joined the talks at Telangana Bhavan. KTR said South Korea’s rise as a global tech hub had inspired him. He said Telangana could give Korean firms a strong base for new business.
He pointed to the state’s skilled workforce and industry network. In addition, he cited what he called supportive governance for business growth.
Telangana tech destination pitch highlights Korean firms
Rama Rao recalled Korean investments that came to Telangana during the previous BRS rule. He named Youngone Corporation and Hyundai Motor Group. He said those investments showed scope for stronger economic ties. Further, he said Telangana could draw more Korean firms in tech and industry.
KTR also spoke about India’s young population. He said the country’s large workforce could help expand global production. According to him, India could also serve as a large market. As a result, he said Korean firms could find scope to make and sell goods.
The Telangana tech destination pitch also covered future ties with South Korea. Rama Rao said he hoped both sides could build stronger links in tech, industry and innovation. He also pointed to innovation as an area for deeper ties. Meanwhile, the meeting explored links between Telangana groups and South Korean bodies.
Rama Rao said the state’s talent and industry base could support such ties. He added that closer links could open new opportunities in advanced tech and industry.
