KTR: Ghose Commission report verdict exposes Congress conspiracy

Hyderabad: BRS working president K. T. Rama Rao said the Ghose Commission report verdict exposed what he described as a Congress conspiracy. He alleged that the Ghose Commission report was used for political targeting in the Kaleshwaram issue.

Welcoming the court’s decision, he said the ruling highlighted misuse of institutions for political vendetta. According to him, the judgment reaffirmed that courts would not tolerate violations of legal and constitutional norms.

KTR alleged that the Commission functioned with bias. He further claimed it ignored principles of natural justice during the inquiry. As a result, he reiterated that the BRS had earlier described the Ghose Commission report as a “PCC report.”

Referring to earlier statements, he said the High Court’s observations aligned with concerns raised by BRS chief K. Chandrashekhar Rao. Consequently, the ruling halted the government’s attempts to act on the report.

Meanwhile, KTR demanded that Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy apologise to farmers for neglecting the Kaleshwaram project. He accused the government of failing to utilise the project over the past two-and-a-half years.

He also called for immediate repairs to damaged pillars at the Medigadda barrage. According to him, timely action would help address irrigation needs of farmers.

Further, he alleged that attempts to divert Godavari waters and weaken agriculture would face resistance. Accordingly, he warned that farmers would strongly oppose such moves.

Finally, KTR said the BRS would continue its fight for farmers’ interests. He added that the party would oppose what it described as negligence in irrigation management.
