Hyderabad: BRS working president K.T. Rama Rao on Monday said many parties come and go, playing down the formation of a new political party by his sister Kavitha.
Addressing party leaders, he made an indirect reference to the Telangana Rashtra Sena (TRS). He said only a few parties sustain themselves over 25 years, and therefore there was no need to focus on new entrants.
Many parties come and go, says KTR on new outfit
KTR said discussions centred on welfare schemes implemented for Singareni workers. He added that the party passed a resolution expressing gratitude to all sections of Telangana society.
He said another resolution thanked those who supported the statehood movement. According to him, the party acknowledged those who stood with it during the struggle.
He also criticised the Congress government’s functioning. He described the administration as chaotic and ineffective.
KTR said the United Nations had praised the Rythu Bandhu scheme. However, he alleged that the present government was weakening the scheme.
He claimed the government released funds in instalments for publicity. Therefore, he said the intent was self-promotion rather than farmer welfare.
Many parties come and go amid farmer crisis concerns
KTR said the party discussed the ongoing agricultural crisis in the state. He alleged that farmers suffered losses due to poor grain procurement.
He said middlemen had taken control of grain stocks. Moreover, he claimed procurement centres across the state remained non-functional.
He said the party passed a resolution demanding unrestricted procurement of grain. He warned that the BRS would launch protests in villages if the government failed to act.
KTR reiterated that many parties come and go, stressing that political longevity depended on sustained public support.
