Hyderabad: Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy on Wednesday ordered a KCR farmhouse probe into the Erravelli property in Siddipet district. He directed officials to complete the inquiry within 30 days.
During a Legislative Assembly debate on prohibited lands under Section 22-A, Reddy raised questions about the farmhouse owned by former Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao. He asked officials to verify whether the property covered about 700 acres.
The Chief Minister also questioned whether 388 acres of government land remained undisclosed within the farmhouse premises. He said the government would repossess any public land identified inside the compound. Subsequently, the recovered land would be distributed to the poor.
KCR farmhouse probe widens to family landholdings
Reddy also presented details of landholdings that he attributed to members of the Kalvakuntla family. He alleged that the family held 439 acres across 31 villages in nine districts. According to the figures he read in the House, K.T. Rama Rao’s family held 123 acres. J. Santosh Rao held 79 acres, while KCR’s immediate family held 67.5 acres.
Reddy further said K. Kavitha held 37 acres and T. Harish Rao held 30 acres. In addition, he accused several BRS leaders and close associates of acquiring government land.
He named Gangula Kamalakar, Errabelli Dayakar Rao and Sudheer Reddy while making the allegation. According to Reddy, the leaders and associates collectively acquired 650 acres of government land.
The Chief Minister also raised questions about land linked to BRS MLA Jagadish Reddy. He asked how 11.5 acres of Inam land became part of the MLA’s 50-acre farmhouse. Moreover, Reddy referred to former MLA Pilot Rohith Reddy’s farmhouse at Aziznagar. He alleged that the farmhouse had been constructed on assigned land.
Reddy cited land ceiling provisions while questioning the extent of the holdings. He said a family could hold 27 acres of wet land or 54 acres of dry land. However, he claimed that all property held by KCR constituted wet agricultural land.
KCR farmhouse probe linked to SIT inquiry
Reddy alleged that land irregularities worth ₹1 lakh crore had occurred during the 10-year BRS government. He announced a Special Investigation Team to examine the alleged land scam.
The SIT would investigate the matter and establish the facts within one month, he said. The Chief Minister described the disclosures made in the Assembly as only “Dharani Part-1.”
He said “Dharani Part-2” would follow with further disclosures. In addition, he said alleged irregularities involving TGIIC lands would be presented before the Assembly.
According to Reddy, those details would be placed before the House during the upcoming budget session. The KCR farmhouse probe would also examine the government land allegedly located within the Erravelli property.
