Hyderabad: A woman working as a beautician at a spa centre in Kavadiguda was stabbed to death by her husband inside the premises on Tuesday morning, triggering panic in the area. The accused later surrendered before police in Attapur.
The victim, identified as Bangi Deborah, worked at a spa centre in Kavadiguda. Police said the couple had argued at home earlier in the morning. Despite the dispute, Deborah later left for work as usual.
However, the accused reportedly remained upset after the argument. He later went to the spa centre carrying a knife. Soon after reaching the building, he confronted his wife again.
Kavadiguda murder took place inside corridor
Police said the accused attacked Deborah in the corridor of the building where the spa centre operated. He stabbed her multiple times with the knife. As a result, she died on the spot before help could arrive.
People inside the building alerted police immediately after the attack. Subsequently, local police teams and the Clues team reached the scene and began collecting evidence.
Investigators said the accused fled the location after the murder. Later, he went directly to Attapur police station and surrendered.
Police probe Kavadiguda murder motive
Police suspected that ongoing marital disputes led to the murder. However, officials said the exact reason behind the attack would be confirmed only after a detailed investigation.
Meanwhile, the incident caused fear among residents and shop owners in the busy commercial building. Locals expressed concern over such a violent crime taking place in broad daylight inside a business establishment.
