Pawan Kalyan announces Jana Sena expansion plans in Telangana

Hyderabad: Andhra Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister and Jana Sena chief K. Pawan Kalyan announced Jana Sena expansion plans in Telangana and said the party would contest future elections in the state.

Addressing a press conference at his Jubilee Hills residence on Tuesday, Pawan Kalyan said his affection for Telangana extended beyond politics. He also rejected criticism over his presence in Hyderabad.

The Jana Sena leader said Telangana did not belong to any individual or political group. Moreover, he stated that the people of Telangana had supported him and his party over the years.

Recalling the party’s roots in the state, Pawan Kalyan said Jana Sena was established in Telangana and had received encouragement from its people.

He also warned against attempts to intimidate him or discourage his political activities in the state.

Jana Sena expansion linked to future electoral plans

Pawan Kalyan clarified that he never opposed Telangana as a state. Instead, he said he had objected to the manner in which Andhra Pradesh was bifurcated.

He reiterated his vision of a “Social Telangana” focused on social justice and balanced development.

At the same time, he criticised political leaders who, according to him, had opposed Telangana in the past but now held positions of power.

Pawan Kalyan also defended the relationship between the people of Telangana and Andhra Pradesh. Furthermore, he said ordinary citizens should not bear responsibility for past political decisions.

Responding to allegations against him, the Jana Sena chief challenged authorities to produce evidence of any wrongdoing and take action if such proof existed.

Meanwhile, he announced that Jana Sena would strengthen its organisational network across Telangana.

The party will raise public issues, oppose injustice and undertake statewide tours when required, he said.

Pawan Kalyan also criticised political opponents and analysts for targeting him. In addition, he recalled his long association with Telangana and his support for cultural figures such as Gaddar.
