Hyderabad: A Singareni overman suicide was reported near Koyyuru on Tuesday night after an employee died amid reported financial problems. The incident occurred near Nagulamma, close to Koyyuru in the mandal.
The deceased was identified as Bathula Krishnachaitanya, 32, who worked as an overman. He was employed at the Adrial Longwall Open Cast Project in Peddapalli district’s Centenary Colony.
Krishnachaitanya lived at C-2/127 quarters in Centenary Colony. His native place was reportedly Manuguru, according to the information available about the incident.
Shortly before his death, Krishnachaitanya reportedly spoke with his wife Padmavathi over the phone. Later, he went to the Nagulamma area near Koyyuru.
According to the source, he had reportedly been under severe mental distress for some time due to financial difficulties. However, the exact circumstances behind his death remained unclear.
Koyyuru police began investigating the incident to determine the precise reason for the death. Officials were expected to establish the circumstances surrounding the incident through their inquiry.
Singareni overman suicide leaves workers in grief
The incident left Krishnachaitanya’s family members and relatives deeply distressed. Meanwhile, Singareni workers also expressed grief following the death of their colleague.
The employee had been serving as an overman at the Adrial Longwall Open Cast Project. His death near Nagulamma subsequently brought his family and workplace community into mourning.
Police were examining the circumstances leading to the death. The reported financial difficulties formed part of the information surrounding the incident, but police had yet to establish the definitive cause.
