Jagga Reddy alleges conspiracy in Meenakshi Natarajan nomination rejection

Hyderabad: TPCC Working President Jagga Reddy strongly criticised the Meenakshi Natarajan nomination rejection, alleging that the BJP government in Madhya Pradesh acted with political motives.

Speaking to the national media on Friday, he claimed that the state government used the Election Commission to prevent Telangana Congress in-charge Meenakshi Natarajan from entering the Rajya Sabha.

Jagga Reddy described Natarajan as a leader known for her integrity, commitment and honesty within the Congress party.

He said rejecting the nomination of such a leader was highly unfair.

According to him, Natarajan does not face any criminal cases or pending legal disputes.

He also claimed that her political record does not include involvement in protests, road blockades or political violence.

Further, he said she maintained a clean public and personal record throughout her career.

Meenakshi Natarajan nomination rejection sparks political allegations

Jagga Reddy alleged that the BJP government deliberately created conditions that led to the rejection of Natarajan’s nomination.

He claimed the ruling party used the Election Commission as a tool to achieve its political objective.

Further, he questioned the need to resort to such tactics for a single Rajya Sabha seat.

The Congress leader also alleged that senior figures in the Central government played a role in the episode.

According to him, the incident reflected a broader pattern of targeting opposition leaders through institutional mechanisms.

He accused the BJP of misusing constitutional bodies for political gains and demanded fairness in the electoral process.

The controversy erupted after election authorities rejected Meenakshi Natarajan’s nomination for the upcoming Rajya Sabha elections in Madhya Pradesh.
