Investigation sought into RTO Venkanna death after sand lorry accident

Hyderabad: Telangana Employees’ JAC Chairman V. Lachi Reddy demanded a comprehensive investigation into the RTO Venkanna death after the officer was allegedly hit by a sand lorry while on duty in front of the Bhupalpally RTO office. He urged the government to identify those responsible and take strict action.

Lachi Reddy described the incident as deeply tragic and expressed concern over the safety of officials carrying out enforcement duties. He said it was painful that the officer lost his life while conducting vehicle inspections as part of his official responsibilities.

The Telangana Employees’ JAC chairman stressed that the government must thoroughly examine all aspects of the incident. He said the findings should help ensure accountability and prevent similar incidents in the future.

Compensation demand after RTO Venkanna death

Referring to the RTO Venkanna death, Lachi Reddy sought adequate compensation for the bereaved family. He also requested the government to provide a job to one eligible family member as a support measure.

He further called for stronger security arrangements for officers conducting inspections across the state. He said special attention should be given to the protection of officials involved in checks related to illegal sand transportation.

On behalf of the Telangana Employees’ JAC, Lachi Reddy conveyed his condolences over the officer’s untimely death. He also expressed solidarity with the family and wished them strength during the difficult period.
