Hyderabad: The Muslim community of Arutla village in Ranga Reddy district has thanked Telangana Minorities Welfare and Public Enterprises Minister Mohammad Azharuddin for taking up their long-pending requests. The issues concern a compound wall around the village Muslim graveyard and the proposed use of an unused government building as a community mini-function hall.
According to the Minority Welfare Department memorandum dated August 17, 2026, a representation submitted by the Masjid-e-Madina Arutla Committee was forwarded to the Ranga Reddy District Collector and Magistrate. The department directed the district administration to examine the issues and submit a detailed report to the government for further action.
The community had sought construction of a compound wall around the Muslim graveyard. It also requested that an unused government building be converted into a Muslim community mini-function hall.
Community members said they had personally submitted their representation to Azharuddin during his visit to Telangana Public School in Arutla. They said they explained the problems faced by residents and sought action on the long-pending requests.
The community has welcomed the forwarding of the representation to the district administration. Members said they were hopeful that the official process would lead to the completion of the requested works.
Representation moves to district administration
Community members described the two requests as important long-pending needs for Arutla. They said the government’s decision to take up the representation and forward it to the Collector had moved the matter into the official process.
Muslim elders, youth and other community members also expressed their appreciation to Azharuddin and the Minority Welfare Department. The memorandum records the forwarding of the representation to the Ranga Reddy District Collector for examination and submission of a detailed report.
