Indiramma sarees distributed to SHG women under Indira Mahila Shakti programme

Hyderabad: Indiramma sarees were distributed to women Self-Help Group (SHG) members across several constituencies in Hyderabad under the Indira Mahila Shakti programme, reinforcing the government’s focus on women’s empowerment and community welfare.

The programme was conducted in Karwan, Musheerabad, Kavadiguda, Malakpet, Sanath Nagar, Yousufguda and other constituencies. Women associated with Self-Help Groups received the sarees as part of a welfare initiative aimed at strengthening community-based organizations and enhancing socio-economic opportunities.

Several elected representatives, public officials and GHMC personnel participated in the programme. The event witnessed the presence of MLAs, public representatives, GHMC officials, Zonal Commissioners, Deputy Commissioners, Project Officers, Community Organisers, Resource Persons and SHG members.

Officials said the initiative was designed to strengthen Self-Help Groups and encourage greater participation of women in community development activities. The programme also highlighted the importance of collective efforts in promoting inclusive growth and social welfare.
