Hyderabad traffic diversions announced for Jubilee Hills bye-election rallies

Hyderabad: In view of the nomination processions for the 61–Jubilee Hills Assembly Bye-Elections on October 17 (10 a.m.–4 p.m.), the Hyderabad Traffic Police has warned that moderate congestion is likely around Yousufguda, Kotla Vijaya Bhaskar Reddy (KVBR) Indoor Stadium, and Krishna Nagar. Since several political parties plan rallies, the police expect heavy crowd movement in these zones. Therefore, commuters should avoid these routes and follow traffic diversions to prevent delays.

Traffic diversions around Kotla Vijay Bhaskar Reddy Indoor Stadium

Traffic coming from Maitrivanam Junction towards Yousufguda Basti, Rahmathnagar, Karmikanagar, and Borabanda Bus Stop must divert at Yousufguda Basti. Instead, vehicles should proceed through GTS Temple–Kalyan Nagar–Mothi Nagar–Borabanda Bus Stop.

Meanwhile, vehicles heading from Maitrivanam Junction to Jubilee Hills Checkpost via Yousufguda Checkpost and Madhapur should turn at Yousufguda Basti. They can then continue through RBI Quarters–Krishna Nagar Junction–Jubilee Hills Checkpost.

Additionally, traffic from Jubilee Hills Checkpost and Venkatgiri towards KVBR Stadium must turn at Krishna Nagar Junction and move through Srinagar Colony–Panjagutta.

However, vehicles from Borabanda Bus Stop towards Karmikanagar, Rahmathnagar, and Yousufguda Checkpost need to divert at Prime Garden Function Hall. They should use Sri Ram Nagar X Roads–Midland Bakery–GTS Colony–Kalyan Nagar Junction–Vengalrao Nagar–Umesh Chandra Statue–ICICI U-turn–Maitrivanam Junction.

Consequently, traffic from Panjagutta towards Krishna Nagar via Srinagar Colony must divert at Srinagar Colony Park and move along MJ College Road–SNT Junction–left turn–NFCL.

The Hyderabad Traffic Police urged motorists to cooperate with officers and follow signage for smoother flow. Moreover, personnel will monitor all key intersections to assist commuters throughout the event.

Parking arrangements for the general public

For convenience, the police arranged parking at Metro Parking (Janakamma Thota 1 & 2) in Yousufguda. In addition, parking for four-wheelers is available at Savera Function Hall and Mahamood Function Hall.

Finally, the Joint Commissioner of Police (Traffic), Hyderabad, advised residents to plan their journeys. He also appealed for public cooperation to ensure safe and orderly movement during the political events.
