Hyderabad: A LinkedIn invitation by 23-year-old entrepreneur and podcaster Md Asrar Ahmed led to a nearly seven-hour podcast recording with Shark Tank India judge and Shaadi.com founder Anupam Mittal during his recent visit to Hyderabad.
The Hyderabad podcaster Anupam Mittal collaboration began when Asrar publicly invited the entrepreneur to appear on his podcast, “One Day With Asrar,” ahead of Mittal’s visit to the city for a major real estate summit.
What started as a public post quickly turned into a confirmed engagement. The following day, a member of Mittal’s team contacted Asrar to discuss the possibility of scheduling the podcast during the Hyderabad visit.
On the day of the event, Asrar and his team welcomed Mittal at Hyderabad Airport and accompanied him throughout his engagements in the city. The conversations started during the drive from the airport to the summit venue and continued across multiple locations.

After attending the summit, Mittal visited the Hyderabad office of Shaadi.com. During the visit, Asrar interacted with company employees and gained insights into the organisation’s operations and work culture.
The discussions continued during the return journey to the airport. As a result, nearly seven hours of conversations were recorded over the course of the day.
The podcast features discussions on Mittal’s entrepreneurial journey, the growth of Shaadi.com, startup fundraising, leadership, decision-making and his experiences as an investor on Shark Tank India.
The episode also explores how Mittal evaluates founders, the future of entrepreneurship in India and lessons for aspiring entrepreneurs.

The discussion extended beyond business topics. It also covered Hyderabad’s expanding startup ecosystem, the role of T-Hub, the city’s entrepreneurial culture and even Hyderabad biryani.
Several personal stories and lesser-known aspects of Mittal’s life and career were also discussed during the recording.
Reflecting on the experience, Asrar said the opportunity emerged from a simple act of reaching out.
“This entire podcast started with a single LinkedIn post. It reminded me that sometimes opportunities don’t come through connections. They come from having the courage to ask,” he said.
The full episode of “One Day With Asrar” is expected to be released soon.
