Hyderabad: Hyderabad DCC President Syed Khalid Saifullah urged Haj pilgrims to offer Haj pilgrims prayers for peace, unity and communal harmony in India during their pilgrimage.
Speaking at Haj House in Hyderabad, Khalid Saifullah congratulated the Hujjaj-e-Kiraam before their departure for Haj. He described them as fortunate people chosen to perform the sacred pilgrimage.
He said nearly 200 crore Muslims lived across the world. However, only around 20 to 25 lakh people received the opportunity to perform Haj every year.
Haj pilgrims prayers sought for harmony
Khalid Saifullah said the pilgrims were travelling as special guests of Allah. He added that the journey carried deep spiritual significance.
Referring to Islamic teachings, he stated that prayers offered at Masjid-e-Haram carried immense value. He also cited a Hadith stating that sincere Haj pilgrims returned free from sins like newborn children.
The Hyderabad DCC chief appealed to pilgrims to remember India in their prayers while seeing the Kaaba, reciting Labbaik and praying at Arafat.
“Pray that love remains alive in our country, hatred is defeated, and our children learn the language of love, not hatred,” he said.
Khalid Saifullah alleged that some people were creating divisions between communities through speeches and provocative actions for political gains. Meanwhile, he urged pilgrims to pray that forces spreading hatred weaken and those promoting love gain strength.
He also appealed to pilgrims to pray for the welfare of Telangana and its people during the pilgrimage.
