Harish Rao slams CM Revanth Reddy over urea shortage

Hyderabad: BRS MLA T Harish Rao strongly criticised Chief Minister Revanth Reddy over the urea shortage, accusing the government of pushing farmers into long queues.

Harish Rao said a Chief Minister who lacked understanding of agriculture could only worsen farmers’ lives. He alleged that Revanth Reddy’s governance had directly hurt the farming community.

Questioning the government’s competence, he asked whether a Chief Minister who failed to supply urea on time deserved the post. He also demanded an explanation on the fate of the urea app, which he said the government introduced to conceal shortages.

The BRS leader said farmers started facing urea problems at the beginning of the rabi season. He claimed that while the Chief Minister stayed in comfort, farmers stood in queues from early morning in biting cold.

Urea shortage exposes Congress failure, says Harish Rao

Harish Rao questioned whether this situation reflected the “change” promised by the Congress. He said the government ignored lessons from last season’s urea crisis.

In a post on X, he tagged the Chief Minister and asked whether Telangana would ever see an end to the urea shortage under Congress rule. He warned that farmers would continue to suffer if the government failed to act.

The BRS MLA said Congress policies had turned farmers into victims. He accused the ruling party of prioritising politics over farmers’ welfare.
