Hyderabad: Governor Shiv Pratap Shukla inaugurated the IRA Universal School at Bowrampet in Medchal-Malkajgiri district on Sunday and called for an education system that goes beyond academic scores to nurture life skills and values among students.
The Governor said students need a balanced learning environment that combines modern knowledge, global competencies, and strong ethical foundations. He urged young learners to set ambitious goals and pursue them with confidence.
The inauguration ceremony was attended by former Haryana Governor Bandaru Dattatreya, Union Minister G. Kishan Reddy, MP Etela Rajender, MLC Anji Reddy, Hyderabad Central University in-charge Vice-Chancellor Dr. J. Anuradha, and IRA Universal School Chairman Dr. M. Malla Reddy, along with other dignitaries.
The Governor noted that setbacks should not discourage students. Instead, he said failures serve as stepping stones towards success and help build resilience.
IRA Universal School focus on values and skills
Highlighting the role of educators and families, Shiv Pratap Shukla said teachers must guide students in the right direction while parents should provide continuous encouragement and support. He stressed that both play a crucial role in shaping future citizens.
The Governor further stated that students who possess both skills and values will become the foundation of a stronger India. He also appealed for collective efforts to create a drug-free society and encouraged all stakeholders to contribute towards that goal.
The event marked the formal inauguration of IRA Universal School and brought together political leaders, educationists, and community representatives to discuss the importance of holistic education.
