BRS seeks probe into Fourth City land deal, demands Revanth Reddy’s resignation

Hyderabad: The Fourth City land deal has come under scrutiny from BRS spokesperson Manne Krishank, who demanded an independent probe and cancellation of the allotment.

Krishank accused Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy of misusing his office to advance the business interests of family members. He also called for the Chief Minister to step down to enable an impartial investigation.

Addressing the issue, Krishank alleged that the government allotted around 20,234 square metres of land at Raviryal to Tesseract Advanced Systems Pvt. Ltd. The reported rate was ₹3,707 per square metre.

He alleged that the company’s chairman was Anumula Kondal Reddy, the Chief Minister’s brother. Krishank questioned the allotment in view of corporate records that he cited, which showed a paid-up capital of ₹1 lakh and zero reported employees.

The BRS spokesperson demanded details of all government land allotments in the Fourth City area. He also sought information on the eligibility criteria, land valuation and due-diligence procedures followed in the disputed allotment.

Krishank also sought clarification about Tesseract Advanced Systems’ claimed Aerospace and Defence operations. He asked the government to disclose the approvals and licences required for such activities.

He further questioned the due diligence carried out before the company’s chairman joined the US-India Strategic Partnership Forum’s India Executive Leadership Board.

According to Krishank, the circumstances surrounding the allotment raised a potential conflict of interest. He argued that an impartial investigation would prove difficult while Revanth Reddy remained in office.

The BRS spokesperson therefore demanded that the government cancel the land allotment. He also called for Revanth Reddy to step down to facilitate an independent probe into the entire transaction.
