Hyderabad: BRS leader Manne Krishank raised an ED probe demand over alleged business interests and financial transactions involving Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy’s family. Addressing a press conference at Telangana Bhavan on Saturday, Krishank sought an independent investigation into the allegations.
He raised questions about alleged links involving Medicover Hospitals, Maxbien Pharma and Sahrudaya Healthcare. He also named Geetha Automotive and educational institutions allegedly associated with people connected to the Chief Minister’s family.
Krishank sought scrutiny of ownership patterns, investments, shareholdings and related-party transactions. In addition, he asked investigators to examine the sources of funds. He alleged that Rs.13,000 crore in black money had been legitimised through Medicover-related transactions. However, investigating agencies would need to verify the claim.
ED probe demand covers ownership and investments
Krishank also raised questions about Hyundai dealerships in Hyderabad. He sought details about the ownership and investment structure of Geetha Automotive. Further, he questioned the alleged business interests of Dumpa Sirisha.
The BRS leader also referred to a school project involving Dumpa Sirisha and Anumala Nymisha Reddy, the Chief Minister’s daughter. He sought scrutiny of financial transactions connected with the partnership.
Meanwhile, Krishank alleged that private business interests linked to the Chief Minister’s family had expanded. He contrasted this with the needs of public healthcare and education. He also challenged the family to respond to the allegations in an open discussion.
Krishank further claimed that the family had accumulated assets and business interests worth more than Rs.50,000 crore over two years. The claim formed part of his ED probe demand and would require independent verification.
BRS plans to submit allegations to national leaders
Krishank said the BRS would submit documents and details supporting its allegations to several national leaders. He said the party would approach President of India, Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge. It would also send the material to Rahul Gandhi and other political leaders.
In addition, Krishank repeated his ED probe demand and called for an impartial investigation. He said the law should apply equally to everyone. He also said he would continue raising questions about accountability.
Krishank referred to arrests and police action he said he had faced in the past. However, he asserted that such action would not stop him from pursuing the allegations.
