Hyderabad: Emirates expressed its willingness to introduce Emirates A380 services to Hyderabad during a meeting between Emirates India Vice President Mohammed Sarthan and Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy on Saturday. The Chief Minister, in turn, urged the airline to increase the frequency of flights to and from Hyderabad and assured full government support for future expansion.
Sarthan paid a courtesy visit to the Chief Minister at his residence as Emirates marked 25 years of operations in India. During the meeting, both sides discussed measures to strengthen Hyderabad’s international aviation network and expand the airline’s presence in the State.
The proposal to introduce Airbus A380 operations was presented as a step that could significantly improve Hyderabad’s global air connectivity and passenger capacity.
Emirates A380 services and expansion plans
The Chief Minister also invited Emirates to consider setting up Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul (MRO) facilities at the two proposed airports in Telangana. He assured the airline that the State government would provide the required infrastructure and other necessary support for its aviation projects.
In addition, Revanth Reddy requested Emirates to sponsor training programmes for athletes at the Gachibowli Sports University. Sarthan responded positively and expressed interest in supporting the proposal.
The discussions reflected the State government’s efforts to attract greater investment in aviation while expanding international connectivity through enhanced Emirates A380 services and increased flight operations.
