Hyderabad: Cyberabad Police, in collaboration with the Society for Cyberabad Security Council (SCSC) and Yashoda Hospitals, organised a specialised health screening programme for traffic police personnel. The Cyberabad Traffic Police health camp focused on preventive healthcare and early identification of potential health concerns.
The camp offered Pulmonary Function Tests (PFT), FeNO tests, Six-Minute Walk Tests (6MWT) and vascular screenings. These assessments were aimed at evaluating lung function, respiratory health, exercise capacity and blood circulation.
Cyberabad Commissioner of Police and SCSC Chairperson Dr M. Ramesh, IPS, inaugurated the programme as chief guest. Assistant Commissioner of Police Chandrashekar Reddy and RI Welfare Nagaraju Reddy attended the programme. SCSC CEO Naved Alam Khan and Associate Director Y. Bhanu Murthy were also present.
Cyberabad Traffic Police health camp stresses prevention
Addressing the gathering, Ramesh highlighted the occupational challenges faced by traffic police personnel. He noted that officers spend long hours outdoors while being regularly exposed to dust, air pollution and traffic-related conditions.
He said maintaining good health was important for personnel to perform their demanding duties effectively. Ramesh encouraged traffic personnel to make full use of the screening facilities. He also advised them to focus on preventive healthcare through regular check-ups and physical activity.
In addition, he highlighted yoga and breathing exercises as measures that personnel could incorporate into their routines. Early identification of health concerns could help officers obtain appropriate medical advice and timely treatment, he said.
Representatives from Yashoda Hospitals participated in the Cyberabad Traffic Police health camp. They included Hitech City Unit Head Megha Chitkara and DMS Dr Venkat Raman Kolla.
Marketing representatives Pradeep and Soma Shekar also attended. Pulmonologist Dr Gopi Yedlapatti and vascular surgeon Dr Srikanth Raju represented the medical team. The initiative formed part of efforts by Cyberabad Police, SCSC and Yashoda Hospitals to promote preventive healthcare and support the well-being of police personnel.
