Hyderabad: Authorities have proposed a skywalk along the Raidurgam–T-Hub stretch in Cyberabad to improve pedestrian safety and ease traffic in one of Hyderabad’s busiest IT corridors.
Cyberabad Police Commissioner Dr. M. Ramesh, IPS, conducted a site inspection on Wednesday with senior officials to evaluate the route and identify risk points. The skywalk would link Raidurgam Metro Station with IKEA flyover, IOCL junction, and T-Hub.
According to officials, the corridor sees high pedestrian movement and frequent traffic snarls. The skywalk aims to reduce road-level crossing, allowing people to move safely while easing vehicle flow by up to 30%.

In Phase I, authorities plan to build a 500-metre skywalk. They also propose a 400-metre underpass between T-Hub and Mindspace C-Gate to boost last-mile connectivity.
The Society for Cyberabad Security Council (SCSC), along with private sector partners, is supporting the initiative. Project proposals will go through the Telangana State Industrial Infrastructure Corporation (TGIIC) and the Industrial Area Local Authority (IALA).
Officials intend to implement the project through a Public–Private Partnership model under SCSC’s guidance. A convergence meeting involving industry heads and civic departments will take place soon to finalise execution plans.
Senior traffic and police officers attended the inspection. Corporate leaders such as Raheja Mindspace COO Shrawan Gone, Sattva’s Peeyush Aggarwal, Divyasree’s Anurag, and Phoenix Group’s Srikanth Badiga also participated.
SCSC CEO Naved Khan and zonal officers from Kukatpally, Serilingampally, and Madhapur reviewed the proposal with local teams. GHMC, TGIIC, and IALA will hold regular review meetings to track progress.
