Cyberabad SHE Teams catch 29 offenders in week-long safety drive

Hyderabad: Cyberabad SHE Teams caught 29 individuals for alleged indecent behaviour in public places during a week-long enforcement drive aimed at strengthening women’s safety.

The operations took place between May 23 and May 30. During this period, Cyberabad SHE Teams conducted 104 decoy operations across various locations and caught the suspects red-handed.

Police registered 37 petty cases and counselled several other individuals. The teams also received 20 complaints from women through different channels during the week.

The Cyberabad Anti-Human Trafficking Unit (AHTU) rescued four victims in a separate operation. The unit also arrested one accused under provisions of the Prevention of Immoral Trafficking Act (PITA).

Officials said Family Counselling and CDEW Centres helped reunite 39 families that were dealing with marital disputes.
