Hyderabad: BRS working president KT Rama Rao alleged that the Congress government failed to provide effective governance during its two-and-a-half-year tenure. He asserted that only the BRS could restore Telangana’s development trajectory.
Addressing a meeting of BRS constituency leaders in Malkajgiri on Friday, Rama Rao claimed that people across Telangana had grown disillusioned with the Congress administration. He said voters were ready to support the BRS whenever the next Assembly elections are held. He added that the BRS Restore Telangana Development agenda remains central to the party’s political strategy.
BRS Restore Telangana Development through welfare and growth
Rama Rao said Telangana witnessed major progress in welfare and development under former chief minister K. Chandrashekar Rao. He recalled that the previous BRS government implemented several welfare schemes and development programmes over nine and a half years. Moreover, he said the government granted pattas to nearly 2.5 lakh poor beneficiaries in Hyderabad under GO 58 and GO 59.
According to KTR, Telangana can return to a growth path only if the BRS regains power. Therefore, he urged party leaders to strengthen the organisation at the grassroots level.
BRS Restore Telangana Development, says KTR
The BRS leader accused the Congress government of failing to deliver visible development despite substantial borrowing. He alleged that the administration accumulated huge debts without creating matching infrastructure.
Furthermore, Rama Rao criticised HYDRAA operations. He alleged that demolition drives harmed poor families and created hardships for economically weaker households.
KTR maintained that dissatisfaction with the Congress government was increasing across Telangana. Consequently, he expressed confidence that the BRS would regain support in Hyderabad and other districts.
He reiterated that the BRS Restore Telangana Development vision focuses on reviving development projects, strengthening welfare programmes and accelerating economic growth.
