Hyderabad: Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy received an invitation to attend Saraswati Pushkaralu at the Sri Kaleshwara Mukteshwara Swamy temple in Jayashankar Bhupalpally district.
The celebrations will take place from May 21 to June 1 at the Triveni Sangam shrine. Officials expect a large number of devotees during the festival period.
Forest and Endowments Minister Konda Surekha, senior officials and the temple priest team met the Chief Minister and handed over the invitation.
During the meeting, temple priests offered Vedic blessings to the Chief Minister. They also presented sacred prasadam and tirtham from the deity.
Arrangements intensified for Saraswati Pushkaralu at Kaleshwaram
Officials have started preparations for the festival at the Sri Kaleshwara Mukteshwara Swamy temple. The shrine is regarded as a major pilgrimage centre in Jayashankar Bhupalpally district.
Meanwhile, several public representatives and senior officials attended the invitation programme. Those present included MPs Vem Narender Reddy and Kiran Kumar Reddy.
Government Whip Beerla Ilaiah also attended the programme. Endowments Department Principal Secretary Shailaja Ramaiyer, Commissioner Hanumantha Rao and temple Executive Officer Mahesh were present as well.
