Hyderabad: A child sale case shocked the Ellamma Gutta area of Nizamabad district after a woman allegedly sold her own son for money, triggering outrage among local residents.
Initially, the incident came to light after the child’s father approached the police with a complaint. According to police, the boy’s mother left home with her son on the 5th of this month and later travelled to Pune in Maharashtra.
There, investigators found that she allegedly sold the child for ₹2.40 lakh. Meanwhile, police said two residents from Ellamma Gutta acted as middlemen in the transaction.
After the child did not return home, the father grew suspicious and alerted the police. As a result, officers collected key evidence and traced the movements of the accused. Subsequently, police arrested the mother along with two others.

Following the arrests, police rescued the child and also confirmed that they had taken steps to ensure his safety. Currently, officials said the boy remained under protection.
Meanwhile, the child’s father expressed deep anguish over the incident. At the same time, he broke down while recalling that the mother had sold her own child for personal gain.
Meanwhile, police officials said they were continuing a deeper investigation into the case. Further, authorities added that additional action would follow if more people were found involved.
