Mulugu power line relocation gets ₹3 crore after Seethakka’s intervention

Hyderabad: The Telangana government sanctioned ₹3 crore for relocating electricity lines passing through residential areas in Mulugu constituency following Minister Seethakka’s intervention. The Electricity Department issued orders allocating the funds to address safety risks and inconvenience faced by residents living near the power lines.

Mulugu District ATMA Committee Chairman Chitmata Raghu thanked Seethakka for securing the allocation. He also expressed gratitude to Deputy Chief Minister and Energy Minister Bhatti Vikramarka for responding positively to her request.

The government approved the Mulugu power line relocation proposal after Seethakka raised concerns about electricity lines running through inhabited areas. According to Raghu, residents had approached the Minister over the difficulties and potential dangers associated with the existing power lines.

Seethakka subsequently brought their concerns to the government’s attention and sought financial assistance to relocate the lines. The Minister requested the government to take necessary steps to shift electricity lines away from residential areas.

She stressed the need to reduce accident risks and prevent inconvenience to local residents. Following her representation, Bhatti Vikramarka approved the allocation of ₹3 crore for the proposed works.

The Electricity Department subsequently issued the necessary orders to facilitate the relocation. Raghu said the funding would help address a long-pending problem affecting several residential areas in Mulugu constituency. He stated that shifting the lines would improve public safety and reduce difficulties associated with electricity infrastructure near homes.
