Hyderabad: Charminar Zone Deputy Commissioner of Police Khare Kiran Prabhakar conducted Charminar DCP inspections across several Old City localities early on Wednesday to review night policing and strengthen public safety.
As part of the surprise inspection, the IPS officer visited Yakutpura, Rein Bazar, Santosh Nagar, Rakshapuram, Moin Bagh and the Ganganala area.
Charminar DCP inspections review night policing
Khare Kiran Prabhakar assessed the alertness of police personnel deployed in the field. Moreover, he reviewed the effectiveness of night patrols and vehicle inspections. The DCP also issued directions to officers to strengthen policing during night hours.
Later, he inspected hospitals and medical shops operating overnight. Additionally, he reviewed security arrangements, emergency medical services and facilities available to the public. He instructed officials to ensure immediate assistance during medical emergencies.
Khare Kiran Prabhakar said night patrolling plays a vital role in preventing crime. Furthermore, he directed police personnel to remain vigilant and inspire public confidence through their duties. He also instructed officers to maintain constant surveillance on suspicious persons and vehicles.
The DCP warned that police would take strict action against unlawful activities without compromise. Police said they would continue conducting Charminar DCP inspections to strengthen law and order, prevent crime and improve public safety across the Old City.
