Hyderabad: Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) leader and former MLA Gadari Kishore Kumar on Wednesday warned Telangana Ministers Adluri Laxman and Congress MP Chamala Kiran Kumar Reddy to refrain from making personal remarks against senior BRS leader T. Harish Rao.
Speaking at a press conference, Kishore Kumar said Harish Rao had merely commented on Cabinet affairs, but Congress leaders had chosen to respond with personal insults. “Such behaviour is unbecoming. If needed, BRS is ready to respond collectively,” he cautioned.
BRS warns Congress: Internal cracks, corruption surfacing
The BRS leader accused the Congress government of being mired in internal disputes and corruption. He referred to recent controversies involving Ministers Konda Surekha and Rohin Reddy and said the Chief Minister had to intervene in the Deccan Cements commission row.
He also brought up allegations by Konda Surekha’s daughter, who accused the CM of misusing power by deploying official security for family members. “Isn’t that true?” he asked pointedly.
Jabs at Congress leaders’ electoral record
Mocking the credentials of the Congress leaders, Kishore said Adluri Laxman only won his seat after five failed attempts. He dismissed Chamala Kiran Kumar Reddy’s political strength, stating he had managed just 100 votes in a past ZPTC election.
“This government isn’t Alibaba and the 40 thieves. It’s the Chief Minister and four corrupt companions,” he quipped.
Former MP Badugula Yadav, and ex-MLAs Ravindra Kumar and Nomula Bhagat also attended the briefing.
