Congress must be taught a lesson in Jubilee Hills by-election, says BRS MLC Dasoju Sravan Kumar

Hyderabad: BRS MLC Dasoju Sravan Kumar said the upcoming Jubilee Hills by-election would be a verdict of the Telangana people on the Congress government’s failures. He urged voters to “teach Congress a lesson” by supporting BRS candidate Sunitha Gopinath for the continuation of Telangana’s development.

BRS reiterates its commitment to Dalit empowerment

Sravan Kumar said the Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) had remained committed to the welfare of Dalits and backward communities since the Telangana movement. According to him, the party’s mission is to empower Dalits socially, economically, and politically.

He said that after Telangana’s formation, the BRS government became the only one in India to allocate ₹50,000 crore for Dalit welfare. Moreover, he described BRS president K. Chandrashekar Rao as a visionary leader who created the historic Dalit Bandhu scheme to make Dalit families financially strong.

Congress accused of neglecting welfare promises

Sravan Kumar said the by-election was not an ordinary one but a people’s referendum on the Congress government. He accused Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy of failing to fulfil the promises made before the Assembly elections.

He said the Congress had not implemented the ₹4,000 pension scheme and had ignored Dalit Bandhu. Furthermore, several welfare initiatives such as KCR Kit, Kalyana Lakshmi, and Thulabharam had been stopped.

He said the Congress government was misleading people with false assurances. Therefore, he urged voters to give it a fitting reply through the ballot box.

BRS appeals to voters to back Sunitha Gopinath

Sravan Kumar appealed to all voters in the Jubilee Hills constituency to support the ‘Car’ symbol. He said the victory of Sunitha Gopinath would reaffirm public trust in BRS and strengthen Telangana’s progress.

He added that the by-election result would not only decide a seat but also send a strong message to the ruling Congress about public dissatisfaction with its governance.
