Niranjan Reddy accuses Congress government of running its own constitution in Telangana

Hyderabad: Former minister Singireddy Niranjan Reddy launched a sharp attack on the Congress government, accusing it of ignoring the Constitution in Telangana. He said while Rahul Gandhi travels across the country holding the Constitution, the State government follows its own version.

Niranjan Reddy slams Congress government Telangana

Speaking at Telangana Bhavan along with MLAs Madhavaram Krishna Rao, Mutha Gopal, and former MLA Balka Suman, Niranjan Reddy criticised the government’s action against unemployed youth. He recalled that Congress leaders promised jobs in Ashok Nagar but later allowed police to lathi-charge job seekers.

Reddy said the government failed to release ₹1,150 crore in bonuses due to farmers. He added that when K. Chandrashekar Rao introduced the Dalit Bandhu scheme, Congress mocked it, but later promised ₹12 lakh per family in the presence of Mallikarjun Kharge.

Allegations against ministers and bureaucracy

Reddy alleged that IAS officers were quitting because they could not tolerate the Chief Minister’s dominance. Some officers, he said, had turned submissive to political leaders. He criticised a minister in Siddipet for taking an oath in a temple to resolve internal disputes, calling it proof of cabinet disorder.

He also accused a minister’s daughter of publicly attacking the Chief Minister and leaking confidential information. “Disclosing official files is a crime,” he said. Reddy demanded that the Chief Secretary act on the issue and send a report to the Governor.

Corruption and governance failure claims

The former minister said officer Rizvi faced harassment that forced him to resign, calling it “a slap to corrupt politics.” He accused CM Revanth Reddy of turning “Live and let live” into “Loot and let loot.”

Reddy alleged that both the Chief Minister and his ministers were looting Telangana. “This government’s only goal seems to be plundering public money,” he said. He added that even after two years in power, the Congress still failed to form a full cabinet.
