BC sub-plan criticism raised by Talasani Srinivas Yadav in Assembly

Hyderabad: Former minister and BRS MLA Talasani Srinivas Yadav raised sharp BC sub-plan criticism in the Assembly, accusing the state government of failing to implement key promises on Backward Classes welfare.

Speaking during the session on Thursday, he said the government had not honoured commitments made in the Kamareddy Declaration. He pointed to the promise of 42 percent reservations for BCs and an annual allocation of Rs.20,000 crore.

Talasani said the gap between assurances and action reflected poorly on the government’s approach to BC welfare. He alleged that several commitments remained unfulfilled despite repeated assurances.

BC sub-plan criticism targets budget and caste census issues

The BRS leader claimed that the previous government led by K. Chandrashekar Rao had spent Rs.45,000 crore over nine years on BC welfare programmes. He contrasted this with what he described as inadequate implementation under the current administration.

He also questioned the transparency of the caste census conducted by the government. In addition, he demanded that the BC Commission report be made public without delay.

Talasani further alleged a mismatch between budget allocations and actual expenditure on BC welfare schemes. He said such discrepancies raised concerns about financial accountability.

He asserted that the party would continue its fight for BC rights. He added that the issue would remain a key focus in the Assembly and beyond.

The BC sub-plan criticism highlighted ongoing political differences over welfare commitments, budget utilisation and data transparency related to Backward Classes in Telangana.
