Hyderabad: Union Minister Bandi Sanjay highlighted the RTC workers plight and criticised the state government over their conditions in Telangana.
Speaking in Karimnagar, he expressed grief over the death of driver Shankar Goud. Meanwhile, he said the Congress promised to merge RTC with the government during elections.
He demanded that the government fulfil its promise without delay. Further, he recalled the ‘Abhayahastam’ manifesto and questioned why the government has not implemented its assurances.
RTC workers plight draws criticism over delays and promises
Bandi Sanjay said the government completed 900 days in office but failed to implement key assurances. In addition, he alleged that the government did not fulfil promises it claimed it would implement within 100 days.
He criticised the government for forming committees instead of resolving workers’ issues. Moreover, he said such steps only delay solutions.
He urged RTC employees not to lose patience or resort to extreme steps. Meanwhile, he said the government must address their concerns through concrete action.
Bandi Sanjay questioned the government’s priorities and alleged that it allocates funds for other purposes but neglects workers’ welfare. Therefore, he said the government must act responsibly and resolve the ongoing issues.
He also alleged that the government diverts funds from Telangana to other states during elections.
